PTD applied to a Yamaha C3
The better I learned to play the piano it became clear that my Yamaha C3 grand piano, built in the late 70-ties, formed a restricting factor in playing. Touch and tone were extreme uneven. Pianissimo was almost impossible. I expected that besides work on the action, strings and dampers needed to be replaced. Therefor I thought about buying another piano, but in the end choose for a rebuilding.
Recently Wim Feldhaus from Nieuw Weerdinge has rebuild my piano to my complete satisfaction using PTD techniques. My C3 plays better now than new. Touch is perfect even en beautiful to dose. I should add that this nice result is achieved just by applying PTD and regulation, dampers and strings are not changed. To be short, a very positive experience with both Feldhaus Pianoservice and the method of Precision Touch Design as applied by him.
