In october 2010 I followed the 3- days PTD- course in Oude Tonge. My goal was: I want to have more grip on the playing ability of a grand piano.
Now we are almost 2 years further, and in the meanwhile I,ve built in several PTD's, all with amazing results! In the meantime I've gained my Installer- status.
Why is it that PTD works so good?
In fact it's nothing more or less than adapting action leverage to strike weight; everyone who has ever been working with some kind of mechanics can understand that there is a connection between the length of a seesaw and the weight you put on it. In fact it was quite astonishing to see the differences in (well built) piano- actions! By adapting the action ratio to the hammer weight (and of course adapting your key-leading afterwards) huge playing- improvements are proved to be possible.
For me PTD has given me the tools to solve almost any kind of playing problems of a grand piano!
